Little John Standring
Had some time over to do one more RA character today. And since John Standring seemed to be a popular name amongst the comments… I went for him! Didn’t really know which outfit to actually give him, but I thought his dungarees thingy seemed to fit at the moment. Who will be tomorrows project then? Mr. North? Mr. Porter? Mr. Thornton? That Kennedy bloke? Someone else? It’s all up to you!

He’s lovely ! … you really are very talented … keep up the good work sweetie

If you haven’t checked out the newest blogger in the RA’s universe’s work, you gotta visit Gisbornesboy and chek out his adorable little RA ChaRActer cartoons. Here’s Sweetie John . . .awwwww.
This one is so cute!
You’ve got talent
Thank you so much!
Thanks!
Our dear sweet John!! Thank you so much! You have captured him perfectly! I am originally from Scotland and where we lived we had sheep all around us. I still love seeing them! When my daughter was a little girl she helped revive a newly born lamb that was dying and she never forgot the experience!
Oh that is such a wonderful story!
And thank you for the kind words! Makes me very happy indeed. xoxo
Aww John Standring is such a sweetie and your lovely drawing has captured that!
Aw thank you! xoxo
Have been catching up on your blog. Really like it, enjoyed reading about your London trip, it happens to be my favourite city too.
Oh thanks! How fun to hear. London will always be very special to me, as I am sure it is for many others too.
Hey, love this! I’m so glad you started blogging!
Thank you so much! How lovely to hear! xo

I’m really pleased to say that gisbornesboy and I have been talking … and an interview / fan showcase is coming up toward the end of this week or beginning of next. This is another fantastic interview — one of the more intriguing conversations I’ve had with a fan. Stay tuned!
I just found out about your blog and after reading all the entries I must say I’m blown away by your massive talent. The RA fandom is surely made up of the most creative and generous souls! Your RA cartoons are magnificent! Loved reading about your London trip and your discovery of RA. Once again, you’re remarkably talented. I can’t wait to see more from you
Thank you very much, dear! How lovely to heart that. Smiling all over now! More will come, I can assure you!

Right click, save as… Yup, I’ll need this image on a bad day! who’s next? How about RA in a tuxedo?
Aw, you are too cute! Actually, some people have voted for Mr. Kennedy! So I think he will be first!
I want one.
How adorable! Terrific job!
My vote is for Mr. Kennedy, please.
Thank you very much!
I’m in love with Little John Standring. He’s so darling. I want to hug him.
How about Mr. North – my favorite
You are very talented!
Thanks!
Yes, Mr. North… I can give it a try!
Mr. Kennedy! Lovely! (Do something about Gisborne after – he must have a cuddly side?
) Very happy some bloggers have directed us to your site.
Thanks! I will definitely do a little Gizzy! He sure is cuddly… At least when I’m in charge..
Sweetie John and his dungarees and lambs!! A definite “Awwwww” moment! For me, young though Richard was, JS is one of his most impressive performances to date. He so totally lost himself in this role. His movements, his posture, his accent, everything was just spot on.
Yes, yes, yes! I agree. He is just so… perfect in that role! Very very impressive for sure! I love Mr. Standring. Even though he is a bit awkward at times. But I LOVE that.
Judit knows I think JS was Richard’s first true breakthrough role. This is the role that started the ball rolling for his career. He went in as the character for audtion and nailed it and he was indeed completely submerged in this character.
The awkwardness was part of what made him so very endearing. Richard managed to make himself seem even taller and bigger (and very uncomfortable with his size) as the painfully shy, sweet farmer John. You just wanted to hug him.
I think RA really proved his acting chops with JS. *two thumbs up*
Definitely! You say it so well. I totally agree with you, Angie! *two more thumbs up*
I’d love to see him act in character driven dramas like “Sparkhouse” in the future, to be able to show his range as an actor…
How cute… I love this Little John Standring. <3
